Signs of a Declining Sitcom

So I’d been watching “The Office” and was just impressed of how I didn’t know this show before.

“The Office” it’s a mockumentary, pretending to be a documentary but with fictional characters and situations. As I was approaching to the final seasons, and the left of Michael Scott (Steve Carrel) of the show, I felt that they quit the “funny and ridiculous” essence of the show, and this video tries to formulates an explanation of the rise and fall of the show.

First, he explains the motivations and purposes of each character… So with the left of Michael, the regional manager, no one can fill that emptiness, that the guy who thinks everyone likes him for his humor, intelligence, left the show… or maybe not. The writers put Andy as a replacement of Michael, but in the video says Dwight would be a better choice, because he was a really close-friend of Michael and acting like him when he have to leave the office for some reason. The spectator would relate with him better than Andy, they know him better.

From.there, some could think that the show go down and it was jus better the other seasons. Personally I like some episodes of the final seasons, but the first ones were really good.
