Dating people in Open Relationships

 

In this video podcast, Kat will talk about why doesn’t date people in an “open relationship”.

She starts saying that not all the types of relationships people have are the same (she being a polyamorous person understands that, because she does not relate with other type of relationships in the polyamorous community), but on this case, being in a open relationship, it might be a person more related with monogamous than polyamorous relationships. So it can create a lack of affection between both partners, possibly because they have different interests being in a relationship.

Another thing, if they more a monogamous person trying to experiment on this field, they can have a jealous behavior, because they probably not used to these type of relationships.

Kat also mentioned that doesn’t like the restrictions of a monogamous relationship. She doesn’t like being controlled or controlled the other person, restricting them just for the benefit of possessing them as an object and obligate them to love a person forever.
