Dating as a Trans Woman
In this video, Kat, talk about how is the experience of dating “passing” as a cis woman, specifically when dating with men.
The term “passing”, like it refers, is when the others perceived you as a woman, who has born as a “woman”, or just not misgendered you. Obviously this term is the reflect of our society, that a person is validated only for their appearance. So, if a trans (in tis case) woman doesn’t have the stereotypical standards that society created of looking as a women, probably they would suffer of invalidation from other people.
This can create other situations in dates… like she said, the anxiety of telling the person you like, that doesn’t know you’re trans, that you’re one can be really hard. But in the case they accepted you, it can be a person who just sees you as an object, just to satisfies them sexual fantasies.
PS: Sorry for the long duration of the video, I couldn’t find anything else. :c
